Depending on the service, FACES accepts private insurance, private pay, Medicaid, CSA funding, and VJCCCA funding.
Services Descriptions
Outpatient Counseling:
Our team is made up of licensed therapists and a license-eligible resident counselor who have earned at least a master’s degree and have many years of experience in the mental health field.
Substance Abuse:
FACES offers substance abuse counseling on an individual basis for chemically dependent individuals. The counseling sessions focus on individual and family strengths in building coping skills and supportive relationships. This service pays particular attention to honoring strict confidentiality and the enhancement of mutual trust in a supportive setting.
Anger Management:
FACES offers anger management in a one-on-one setting or group setting that helps youth and adults understand what anger looks like, where it comes from and how to recognize it. Both youth and adults will learn skills to help them develop and practice emotional intelligence, empathy, forgiveness, and self-control. Communication, self-talk, cooling down, boundaries and self-esteem are also topics of focus in this service, so that the individual develops the ability to control feelings of anger and address them accordingly in the home, work, community, and school settings. Parent Coaching:

Therapeutic Mentoring:
FACES offers therapeutic mentoring services that help youth find, nurture and use their strengths in their daily living. Our therapeutic mentoring services are delivered by highly trained staff who are regularly supervised. Research informed services are delivered one-on-one in a variety of settings, including social activities, recreational and athletic activities, artistic or creative activities, educational or vocational activities, activities of daily living, and in the youth’s home or community. Services are guided by an Individualized Service Plan and monitored by a licensed counselor; service plans are tailored to meet the needs of the individual. Life Skills Coaching:
Life Skills Coaching is a one-on-one service designed specifically for adolescents and young adults to promote self-sufficiency, competency, and community involvement. Individual service plans are developed collaboratively to identify needed social and independent living skills and, where appropriate, may address mental health and behavioral concerns.
